    Default Deck Stairs- Help!

Alright all of you beyond experts, I need help with some stairs.
I’ve only ever built stairs perpendicular from the deck, but our new configuration will be slightly different as I built a hot tub pad where the stairs were.

Essentially I am looking to build the stairs off an angled section of deck, parallel to the house.
The angle between the house and deck is approx 140deg.

Question is, how do I build these stairs?

The stairs pictured are the original stairs I’ve attached for a short term solution.

    Thank you all in advance.

From what I can see, youve attached them to the deck with a few screws on each side?? Likely an accident waiting to happen. You want to hang the stairs with the appropriate stringer bracket. You could also buy metal stringers from HD which can be bolted on through the frame of your deck. That might be the easiest diy option for you as it doesnt appear as though your stairs are a focal point. You just have to measure your height and purchase the corresponding stringers. You could also probably use your existing step decking boards to keep it as inexpensive as possible.

To make it look half decent, need to lift the deck boards, add onto deck to make it square 90 degrees. Then build the steps. Most likely adding another post to the ground to support the weight on the end. Might be able to do so with the railing post.
I'd use a railing if you have a hot tub. It'll get icy in winter.

Hack jobber way, build out to 90 corner with plywood, add supports to ground and add the stairs off it.

This is what I was thinking would need to happen.
Hot tub access will be directly step in from the deck.

You wouldn't need that many new boards. Current boards as long as you lift them ok and not rotted can be reused. Just stagger the lengths so you don't get a weird board pattern.
