Can't you wait until it's 0 % financing? Don't they always have this closer to fall?

This guy does awesome supercar analysis. He's some sort of ultra rich oil dude from Texas and buys McLarens like they are candy - he's pretty active on McLarenLife. His blogs are well worth reading.

Thanks. Glad you like the blogs.

I'm actually from Connecticut and my wife's Canadian. Never been involved in the oil business despite having lived in Texas a few years back.

Welcome to Beyond, which is ostensibly a car forum, but has now turned into a Covid forum. Apologies for misrepresenting your professional bona fides - you know what they say about assumptions.

Rookie mistake. Everyone knows there is no real money in O&G.

Welcome. Never mind Buster and his misinformation about masks on your balls. Has your wife been having trouble getting dates due to Memelennials ruining her good name?

    Also.

    Not to my knowledge.

Heres my few reasons to lease:

    1) Certain cars depreciate more than your lease payments (ie.European cars), you end up losing less money by giving the car back to dealer

    2) You can have a car with full warrantee and hassle free by returning if the car is a lemon.

    3) Acts as an insurance, if you cannot afford buy out near the end of the term, you can simply return the car.

Money wise, Id lease depending on what car and what the expected resell value is.

I've never leased a car and don't know what typical rates are. I'm looking at a new XC90 and the residual rates for 36 and 42 months are 62% and 58%. Are these better than typical values?

These are some of best residuals you will see on a factory lease. Volvo is propping these up to try and capture more market share. They had a big sale Nov 28-30th. Very low payments due to all the stackable rebates with these very high residuals. , not sure if you made a deal or not, but yeah those residuals are great.

I missed the BF deal (additional $2k from manufacturer). I only started looking at the XC90 on Saturday because I saw how low the payments were for another person. I didn't want to make a decision to buy in just 1 day. Maybe they'll have a Boxing Day deal, lol.
