Hey,
I've had a look through some archived threads on beyond and; although I did find a couple citing various inspection shops, they were primarily for higher end vehicles or mechanics specializing in German cars.
I'd like to find a shop to do a thorough pre-sale inspection of an old beater truck ('91 Ranger) that'll be upfront about the failed/failing components, provide an insurance inspection slip, and not charge me up the for unnecessary 'fixes'.
Any recommendations ?
I'm buying this as a second vehicle for the random days the necessitate a pickup bed, mtb shuttling, and the occasional car camping excursion on rough terrain that I don't want to put my new sedan over.
Oh, and it's a manual so it'll be a good excuse for me to perfect my mediocre stick-shift abilities.
Cheers.
