My Reznor had been rock-solid, no complaints. No experience with Lennox in the garage heater department.
Based on brands alone those 2 are pretty good. Reznor might have the slight advantage.
Specifically speaking for a garage heater, get the quietest one.
Save yourself 50% and get a princess auto version. I ran one for 6 years and it worked perfectly and was just as quite as my buddies Reznor. I paid $600 for an 80k BTU unit. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Reznor at mine and all other close family members' homes. All have been wonderful.
Has anyone recently gotten any quotes on Reznor or Lennox, really contemplating getting one this year before winter hits

I found a couple places that will do cash and carry, I was looking at the separated combustion models though which are a little more expensive. Nothing too crazy after my electric bill from last winter using a shop heater, lol. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ballpark was around $1000-1600 for 45k BTU, unit only.
Used a guy off kijiji, got a 45k btu reznor installed with underground gas line for 2500. I had to dig the trenchThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've had a Modine Hot Dawg since 08 and it has been solid. Just had to replace the main board in it after an OEM only relay died on it. $200 for the board delivered.
I only paid $300/ea for qty. 3 thru a distributor in SK. I'd have to make a phone call but I can probably still get OEM pricing.
Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.
I'm curious as well. I wouldn't mind installing my self, but I'd still need someone to pull gas to the garage.

Sounds like a great deal. I already have a gas line, would just need them to droll a hole in the garage wall for the exhaust. Would you mind PMing me with the contact? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Thought all the ballers go radiant heat if they can't do infloor heat?
I have a 45K lennox that is almost 15 years old. It has been great except for the control panel needing replacement about 4 years ago at a cost of ~$400. Repair guy mentioned Reznor is cheaper for replacement parts.
I do know several people with either brand and both seem to be quite reliable. Don't think you can go wrong. The place that installed mine though now recommends Reznor. So could be that it is better unit or just better markup.
Damn I paid $900 including permit for my Modine 45k install and I had to dig my trench which was about 40'. He even tee'd for my bbq. I wish I still had his contact info! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.
Had both, if you keep your garage at a higher temp all day the radiant can be a better choice. If you maintain a lower temp but warm it up when you're working in the garage, I prefer forced air. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Damn, that's a steal. I dug my own 50' trench and installed the heater/exhaust myself, and still paid $1750 for the gas line (which was the lowest of three outfits I contacted) and they did a shit job. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Bump. Looking for a heater to be installed late summer. Thinking 45k Reznor separate combustion. Any contacts?
^Me too, in for a group buy. Please let me know who you go with.
Will do. You do the same. I don't need one until the end of summer, as the garage isn't expected to be built until the end of July. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I had someone put mine in (UDAS 45) earlier this year that did a pretty solid job (I hung it, he vented it and ran the the gas line and permit). The separated combustion definitely makes it way more of a pain in the ass. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Share details? You purchased the unit and hung it, they did the rest? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
