Duh. Personally always found it weird that the entire US patent system is basically written in the most accessable format possible. Got a recipe for the greatest most orgasmic apple pie? The first thing you do is write the exact recipe down for everyone else to see, and then just hope that noone uses it on the honor system, and pays you licensing fees for every apple pie you bake. Realistically, all you have to do is see the final product (like a perfect nail clipper) and you can copy it instantly, if you have no morality against the idea. Bizzaro system.
