Default Kijiji vs Kijiji Autos for buying and selling?

what is the difference between Kijiji and Kijiji Autos? Is it just the interface? Are there different cars on each? Is one better to use for buying? What about for selling?

I thought (although I'm not positive) it was just the interface was easier for car searches

Buster uses Autotrader. Don't cheap out if you want to attract the rich people. Robb report is another one. Or maybe do the classifieds at McLaren Lyfe.

Hire a private investigator to find the perfect spec car, and then make an offer they can't refuse.

Currently, at least for some users (Kijiji is aware of the problem), you can't filter or keyword search and actually have any results returned. It will say there are x-number of results but not show any listings. Kijiji Autos still works fine.

Searching province-wide is a little clunkier with "Autos" than regular, and selecting some of the filters is more time consuming than in regular (there are a lot more possible filters).

I would prefer to do all my kijiji-ing in one app but that isn't currently possible.

So for a seller, just use whatever. Got it.

There is a bot on there that will offer you a lowball based a percentage of your asking price.

I recommend you place your ad with a price 100% higher than what you want, and then when the bot emails you, accept its offer. See what happens next.

You just reminded me actually about something.....if you make an ad on regular Kijiji and then delete it, it won't delete on Kijiji Autos, you have to go there too to do it. I was so confused when I was selling my old car and a couple months later I got a message about it, I was like how the fuck do you still see my ad?

Edit: seems they may have fixed this problem

Is this actually true though? You would a potential buyer would be looking everywhere including both KJ and AT and FB Marketplace...

Recently bought a used vehicle, used all three (KJ, AT and FB) to source the vehicle I purchased.

This is actually why I won't even bother showing a car unless we've discussed price first.

I also won't show a car to someone who can't type a full sentence.

Yeah, they all say cash, but then show up with a cashier's cheque.

I only trust Western Union for anything over $100.
