I actually welded in a bung for my trans temp gauge, so I just pull the sensor when I need to drain it. Would be nice to get a deeper pan with higher capacity though.

What a week! Took this thing camping a couple nights in Waiparous and slept in the back on an air mattress. Very cozy.

And then yesterday drove all the way up to edmonton, drag raced it, and drove home that night to a full moon and fireworks (Ponoka Rodeo?)

I had two 14.0@99mph and then was able to rip off a 13.9@100mph just like I wanted.

In fact, I'm so pleased with this I stopped by Mopac this morning and treated it to a new air filter instead of the free one I trash picked from work.

Would this vs my Golf R be a good match up? Or would this crush it?

I’ll have to try some dragy hits, I have no idea what it would run.

I think the golf would take it but it would be close. This thing only traps 100 due to brickodynamics but has good torque

Would anyone be interested in this for $4000? Gonna be hard to let go of, still puts a smile on my face every time I hit boost, and have it insured with Hagerty for 10 bucks a month so costs me nothing to own. I have an idea to build my next ultimate daily. Would be cool to see someone take this to the next level, either rust repair and paint to make it showroom new again, or cut it up and go crazy offroady with it.

$10/month?? What kind of insurance is that... I was quoted $90/month for cheapest PLPD I could get on my beater '92 van. Desjardins has been great for everything else so far but that quote was insane, I just assumed you couldn't get dirt cheap insurance for beaters.

    Edit: Oh, classic car insurance
