If you're a competitive gamer, wait till things settle down so we know what TV has the best HDMI 2.1 and VRR implementation. Both are still in it's infancy implementation wise and there's multiple formats. The 2 big TV's that have it (Vizio and LG OLEDs) are having tons of issues with the software implementation. It's completely broken on both today. Not to mention lack of support in the devices in between such as soundbars and receivers, so you're going to have to deal with using ARC for audio which adds another layer of complexity. If you care about 120hz gaming, sorry to say that we're not going to see 4K/120hz in this generation, so buying for that is completely stupid. The new consoles are targeting 4K/60 which HDMI 2.0 has zero problems delivering. If you still care about VRR, wait until the implementation is done, out there, reviewed and works.

If you're not a competitive gamer, any HDMI 2.0 TV will be just fine. Buy for picture quality.

I find it hilarious that all the gaming forums have people buying the Sony 900H. #1 you're getting average image quality, and #2 HDMI 2.1 isn't even on that TV yet. Sony promises to update it to HDMI 2.1 and yea, I wouldn't trust them to deliver. Total crapshoot.

Buy the right feature that you actually care about today, and not "future proof" features that you have no idea if it even applies to you or not.

I hate to be right, hopefully not too many of you jumped on the Sony 900H only to be burnt now that they've confirmed dropping VRR and Low Latency support on it.

Any of you have issues with DV and Netflix screwing up color gamut after a console shutdown cycle?

I need to force quit Netflix every time I turn my Netflix on to get DV colours to show correctly.

Anyone still yearning for an Xbox Series S? I ended up buying one from shoppers in December thinking I would use it in the meantime while waiting for a PS5, but I still haven't touched it so I feel like someone out there could probably enjoy it a lot more than myself. I'll get around to posting a WTS ad but to sum it up; brand new, box opened but I didn't even take the console out of the plastic sleeve, bought a 2nd controller and all I did with it was put batteries in it. I'd like to sell the lot for $500. PM me.

Fuck the Series X blu ray player doesn’t support Dolby Vision. Here I was ready to bask in my uncompressed 12 bit DV HDR LOTR set, and I notice the tv is stuck in HDR10.
