So wait, what is the best console for the best movie viewing experience? I'm thinking of getting something new for myself and giving the XBone/S to the kid.

It’s still the series X. Will do Dolby Vision from streaming sources.
But it won’t do it from a bluray apparently. Still 4K. Still HDR10. Still Atmos. Just no DolbyVision.

So its worth it to upgrade to an X for movies? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If all you amwant to do is watch movies then an Xbox is likely overkill. To my knowledge a series X is no better than a One X in that regard.

I dont play alot of games. Mostly racing games and mortal kombat or something, this is exactly the reason I'm asking, because I want good clear movies but I don't need overkill. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I get it now.
Series S would certainly be fine for you, even a one X is probably fine for a couple years if you can get one cheap cheap (bet a few betonders have them collecting dust...).

I have a 14 day trial for game pass ultimate if anyone is interested send me a PM
Series X back in stock at Microsoft for anyone who cares.
Notably if you have an RBC cc you can get $70 off a MS store purchase if you click on the offer online.
Not a bad deal and better than the $50 I got in November.

They’ve been randomly in stock in stores too. Had no trouble finding 2 the other day.

I should order one up before it’s too late.
I thoroughly enjoy mine. Cheapest hobby I have.

Do want:
https://www.xbox.com/en-CA/consoles/...imited-edition
Still available currently so not a bad way to guarantee a series x if anyone is looking, comes out in Nov.
That is really nice
Looks like the series x and controller are already OOS. I think other places might get them as well as bestbuy just put up the special Forza controller.
I wasn't going to get the new xboxes at all, but maybe I should get that Halo Edition one to go with my Halo 5 Xbox One....

I think it's sold out now
Sounds like the halo xbox is available at gamestop and should be available at bestbuy. I should have preordered one yesterday just in case.
So since Halo is going to be on gamepass day one is there much point is any of the special editions etc anymore?
Aside from “collectible” toys?
