    Default Vettel joins Racing Point

Well I'm excited for this. If nothing else, this will tell us if he really still has it or not. If he is consistently outperforming Stroll by leaps it will say a lot. Plus, Racing Point could have a fairly competitive car next year. The dream is that somehow Vettel is able to challenge the Merc in this car, and then there is no question about the Vettel vs Hamilton drama. But I won't hold my breath for that.

He's been bitching about it all day today. Yea, tough position, since it's going to be tough to find a competitive seat at this point. I dunno why he's playing the surprised card, I mean, we all knew he was getting the boot even before he caught COVID.

Phew, glad to see he keeps racing. I hope perez can find a seat though. Sounds like some interest from alfa romeo, but I am guessing haas would also have something available.

Him catching COVID and Lance matching him made it an easy decision for the team I say.
Journalists have been asking him about it for months now.
He's just playing the sympathy card at this point.

Perez should go to Haas or go back to Sauber(Alfa).

I just don't see where he's going to find a seat. I don't think he's good enough or brings enough upside to Alfa, unless Kimi retires too. Going to Haas is his best option, but that fuck show of a team has kept Grosjean this long, why would they want to upgrade their driver?

I think this saturday, you guys should all make Enchiladas for lunch in honour of Prez.

I'm not a fan of Vettel(well Ferrari in particular). But I am glad Vettel got a seat, I might but some Bratwurst on the BBQ and say a Hindu prayer for him.
Who will replace Vettel at Ferrari?

    The musical chairs goes:

    Alonso -> Ricciardo -> Sainz -> Vettel -> Perez

Quite understandably. Daddy Stroll cans his talented driver to keep a seat for his son. Perez can't be too upset about them scooping up Vettel, but definitely I'd be annoyed about the nepotism involved that lead to him being canned vs the other driver.

News flash. Stroll has been outperforming Perez head to head.

They keep saying on the broadcasts that Perez is much better than stroll, but I see stroll always doing well he’s actually very consistent. And I hated him for being a rich kid that appeared to get everything with daddy’s money. I take it back he’s got decent talent, even when at Williams and finishing 3rd I think Azerbaijan. Daddy still got him to his position in racing but he’s not talentless.

Lance has typically been better than Perez on Sunday, but trailed behind him on Saturday. He's gotten a lot better at qualifying this year.

Almost every driver is a rich kid, at least upper middle class, or knows of rich people to fund them. You don’t get far in racing without having big bucks though your junior career.

Hamilton and Kimi was probably the poorest of them all, middle class, sold everything and worked multiple jobs to fund their careers. Kimi was an expensive upbringing, he played hockey too haha.

I will admit Stroll has really stepped up and at least proved he is F1 material.

Based on that Netflix show it seems like Albon also comes from meager means with a single mother who went to jail and all.

Maybe when mom went to jail. Before that they were living larger than you. Basically, female Kulu who then turned it into a Ponzi scheme.

It was a legit exotic car broker until she ran outta cash. Then turned it into a ponzi while cheating on taxes too haha.

End of the day, not a lot of poor upbringing in f1 circles.
