Why can't we attract competent people to do the job? It's entirely populated by people who couldn't hack it in a legit business environment.

Would YOU do that job for $120K a year including all the public scrutiny? Ya...me neither. The only people signing up for that shit are the same people who love to sit on condo boards to exercise some measure of "power" over other people.

Take that a step further, Prime Minister makes $360K a year (on the books anyway), probably round that up to $500K for the other random shit that doesn't get counted and now you've got a camera up your ass 24/7/365...no bloody way. The people running organizations the size of the federal government make WAY more than $500K a year.
