Looks real nice! I'm also looking at how to make my playseat challenge a bit more rigid
If I were you I wouldn't, if I could do it all over again I would have just sold my cockpit and gotten one of these https://advancedsimracing.ca/collect...luminum-frames

I'll vouch for ASR, recently got the ASR6 rig. Quality and customer service is top notch.

I would but I'm in a small condo with not that much space for a complete sim rig

damn looking good. what monitors and hardware you running? do you have any field of view issues with the curve on the side?

thinking of picking up a asr4. do you think the asr6 is worth it? i only have a g29 atm but will eventually upgrade to simcube+HE later

I'm running 32" BenQ EX3203R monitors. Other hardware is an intel I9-10900K and an EVGA 3090 GPU. No issues at all with FOV on the curved screens.

Looks like the only difference with that ASR4 vs the ASR6 is the base frame width. To me it looks like that would still be plenty for a simucube wheel base. I've heard with other brands that have the ASR3 style uprights that there is a bit of flex in the rig when you're running a high powered DD wheel base.

For €749.99, I'm not sure if this is worth it compared to the csl dd

Well this thread needed a bump. After months of waiting for stuff and assembly my sim room is finally complete.

Man, I would really like to build one of these, and take it to the next level, build the whole thing inside a custom enclosure that blocks out external stimuli, and can contain the dynamic sound to allow for a more realistic experience.

Too bad I am not really into racing sims, so unless someone asks me to build it for them, it's just a pipe dream lol

How do you like that wheel base? I'm very close to pulling the trigger on it. Also how did you decide on what wheel to pair with it? I like the Formula wheel, but the Mclaren GT3 one looks great too.

Very happy with this CSL DD (the first one that arrived mid-September was a brick and needed to be RMA'd). I stepped up from a CSL Elite to the CSL DD. The CSL DD is noticeably smoother, lots more fidelity, easier to feel and catch small slides. The additional torque (dynamic range) is noticeable but it's not night and day (6NM vs. 8NM). If this wheel base had 12NM or even just 10NM of torque it would be perfect.

The McLaren GT3 V2 is a great wheel for GT3 and GT4 cars, which is mostly what I drive. Its construction is a bit cheap though, being plastic and not CF or some sort of alloy isn't ideal but at the price point it's a hell of a good deal. The Formula Carbon wheel is quite a bit smaller (270mm dia.) and is best suited to formula cars, so if that's what you mostly drive you'll want one of Fanatec's several formula rims. If you do any drifting or rally, neither of these wheels will work for obvious reasons.
