Also upgraded pedals recently, went from Fanatec CS V3's to HE Sprints. The Sprints are definitely a high end pedal, fit & finish is outstanding and the amount of hardware and software adjustment is unreal. Though that being said it took me at least a dozen hours to get used to them well enough to get my times back down to the times I was running with the V3's. Now that I'm used to them I prefer them to the V3's though.

Just pre-ordered GT7 and wanted to know opinions on the Fanatec DD Pro bundle:

I know the wheel is cheap, so what other wheel would you order?

Looks like fanatec will be raising some pricing on components tomorrow so I bought the GT DD Pro 5nm and the mclaren gt3 wheel so I can use on PS5 and Xbox. Figure if I want the extra FFB and better pedals I can do that down the road once I sell my logitech.

Feels bad man, never got around to getting some Fanatec stuff.
Anyone selling a cockpit?
I sold my cockpit in Feb when my Fanatec order was set to ship March 14th. Then Fanatec delayed the order to April 7th. FML

Was it the load cell brake pedal that got you?
I kind of wish I could have skipped the GT wheel and just got the base with separate pedals and the mclaren wheel but didn't want to wait until end of May.
Yup, everyone says the load cell is a game changer so I went with that, versus adding the McLaren GT3 wheel.
If they had an 8nm bundle without any pedals, I would have gotten the V3s.
Save my pennies for an Xbox compatible wheel, shifter and hand brake for later.
Woot, Fanatec updated to Ready to Ship. Got a warehouse processing notification!
New cockpit is waiting:

Yeah I saw that the load cell was in stock today and that nothing I impulse bought yesterday actually went up in price
I'll see how I like it and then would maybe get the V3 pedals. The $150usd to go up to the 8nm from 5nm is pretty expensive so I am hoping there is enough FFB.
Yeah, $150 sounds kinda bonkers. I wonder what voltage it runs at? I wouldn't be above trying to kludge something. Been playing the crap outta Gran Turismo with a controller, seriously thinking about slapping together a basic sim. I tried the DD/load cell sim at Spec R and that was a terrible mistake, because now I know what I've been missing out on.

You looking for a full rig, or just a chassis? I've been thinking about selling mine (fanatec gear, sparco seat, simetik chassis with mounting addons)
I'm probably selling my obutto setupThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Recently upgraded the dual purpose setup to a DD1 kit. I setup 4x buttkickers in chassis/corner mode and it's actually quite impressive. Feeling kerbs is a game changer.
Gonna ditch the cringe gamer seat and wire up a Recaro Topline XL instead.

The X5 i bought earlier this year really is FULLY LOADED though not a single option missing including infrared night driving
Which obutto do you have? I bought one second hand a few years back, and the PO ditched the foot plate to mount the pedals too, and I cannot find a replacement, or even the dimensions so I can have one fabbed up.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Is that an ASR 4? Looks nice! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The Boost Kit is a rip off as it's just an upgraded power supply but you 100% need the 8NM, at 5NM it just doesn't feel right. If you want to save some pennies (and potentially void your warranty) there are cheaper aftermarket and DIY power supplies that unlock the full 8NM.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Will vouch for JDC, nice setup he's got, and he takes good care of his stuff. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Are you using your buttkickers with iRacing? If so do you have them setup with Simhub? The factory iRacing support is only for one butt kicker which is what I have but would love to go up to 2 or 4, however I've heard there can be some latency issues when controlling them with aftermarket software vs. the built-in iRacing control. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Also, silly question. Do you have one amp for each of your buttkickers or just two amps?
Despite spending thousands on sim hardware, I can't stomach the iRacing monthly subscription model. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I race mainly ACC and AC - yes there's a bit of latency on the transducers, but I think that resolves if you purchase SimHub outright.
For amps, I just have the stock buttkicker amps - two not pictured in this setup. Will eventually move to a single amp and external soundcard to clean things up a bit.

Any advice on where/how to mount a single Dayton Audio BST-1 transducer?
Ahh interesting, I didn't know you could plug two buttkickers into one buttkicker amp, maybe I'll do that for the time being. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

If it were me I'd mount it directly to one of the 80/20 profile cross members the one in the middle of the rig preferably.
