Wouldn't consider this groundbreaking, all BMW Motorrad has done is followed the car naming nomenclature where they used to designate their bikes with HP. The HP4 race was a far superior "M" model.
Yea this is just badge engineering more of the same as the last two models.
If you think putting an M on it makes it interesting, fill your boots.

Doubtful. The superbike market is pretty much non existent with the dominance of adv bikes. 2020 s1000rrhas been plagued by so many problems that BMW had to issue a stop sale.
Take a look at how many Ducati v4r's are sitting in dealer inventory.
