I see both sides. To my white ass, I think that cultural appropriation is generally poorly done and if done in a manner which is purposely disrespectful, there is a real problem. But both the Canucks logo and Holtby's mask were intended as a celebration of culture. Should the creator have contacted native people to ensure authenticity? Probably. But should we make a big deal out of it? Given the context, I'd say no.

People these days are so quick to get offended and call something racist when there is zero such intent. Canadian culture especially is a mixture of many, and telling people they "aren't allowed" to do harmless things because maybe someone might be offended is a little too far down the PR road for me.

How could an ethnic group (multiple groups, actually) that uses such vastly inferior food delivery implements have risen to such dominance instead of starving is beyond me! I'd have starved to death shortly after breast feeding if I had to use those things.

You can't say it's inferior. That's racist. I believe asian food is typically prepared in a manner that the chopsticks work fine once you pass the learning curve and are willing to do some slurping...
I do use chopsticks for my Chinese food and Vietnamese. 2020 questions if I am holding them correctly, or if I should be using them at all.
