Perry had to fight for that? Hockey can be some dumb sometimes.

Perry was a good boy and ate a few unreturned punches in return. I generally despise him, so strange to see him show any class.

Hate Perry but looked unintentional for sure. Impressed he took the fight and punches without trying to do much in return.
Foligno said during the post he didn't even see the hit. He just saw Tavares down and challenged him.

Hockey requires a catharsis to settle everything down. Both those players understood that and took part. Honestly, it couldn't have gone better for everyone involved and for the game of hockey.

Not fighting fails to release the tension and is interpreted as an insult and a lack of accountability for anything. Just ask that fuck plug Steve Moore how not having a simple fight works out.

Wife even said "of course it was Corey Perry" after she saw the hit. I hate Perry but not sure how anyone thinks that was intentional.

Agree 111%. It happened the speed of thought. That linesmen didn't even realize how fucked he was and it happened right in front of him.

I'm sure I've read or seen somewhere on social media that Perry and Tavares are actually good friends, so he probably feels terrible, no matter that it was unintentional

Yes, their families are friends and spend their time together outside of hockey.

They are good buddies off the ice so I am sure he feels terrible. Not to mention they have played on some team Canada teams together (Olympics, World Championship etc)

Refs desperate for a bench brawl in the Bruins Caps game it seems...

Leaving your feet to check a guy in the head in open ice is now a "roughing" double minor, and if you lose your stick, you can tackle a guy to the ground on your way off the ice with no consequence

That's interesting. I thoroughly felt that was zero penalty at all and the only reason the video review dropped it from 5 to 4 was because they were committed to a Bruin in the box, already.
Different strokes, I guess. I wasn't looking for him leaving his feet, but there is zero question that there was no contact to the head. The only reason that Bruin guy was hurt was because he got smoked and struck his head on the ice.

I think the only reason he didn't get Millars head is because he tried too hard and therefore had no aim - it was a high hit and he definitely left his feet, to me it has to be a charging major

Basically, WSH felt that Hathaway and Wilson being pieces of shit wasn't enough, so they've told Orlov to be one too

My Homie is also saying "charging" so I'll have to take a better look.
The most important thing is that both these teams get their buttholes reamed over a full seven games with multiple OT.

well Millar didn't return, hospital visit...that's not just from a wee bump on the ice

Nope, can't wait to see Ovi's crying face as Bergy lifts the trophy...

(so long as we don't have to face the Avs in the final, i think it's theirs this year)

He smoked the back of his head on the ice. It was serious!

Vegas and Toronto look very dangerous, to me.

Oil choking a 3-1 lead and losing in OT.

    Gotta love it.

Can we start the "'rather miss the playoff than getting swept 4-0 " chant already?

    Man this is amazing
