Worst pole ever.
Is the Calgary sun shining on your pole when you fill out the poll while getting your pole shined? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If memory serves, Calgary and Vancouver (city of, not GVRD) gets roughly about the same amount of precip per year. The difference is that we get it an hour in a tstorm, whereas Vancouver might take a week to get the same amount. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
To me the most important factor is the monthly hours of sun.
Nobody in this thread can afford to live in Vancouver proper anyway

One must be careful with the stats, sunny DAYS might mean a requirement of 1/2 hour of sun per day to qualify. I look at the hours per month - that gives you a real world feel of the mood. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I'll have to double check based on this recommendation. I'd hate to be one of those assholes that quotes some stat and is off by a factor of 4 or something crazy! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I never really hated Calgary weather, born and raised in the area. Didn't care for the spells of -30 and the windy days any time of the year. Moved to the Okanagan last year, can't say I miss anything about the climate in Calgary. I'm still camping out with the kids in our holiday trailer without having the furnace on.
