    Firstly, Fuck r/Calgary... Losers.

Second, this seems more impactful to inner city communities, or communities on the train line.

I don't think LB has anything to worry about.

R/Calgary should be happy, isn't this just a form of union?

I assume people who signed up are all in the higher price lake area. Cheaper houses surrounding them probably won't sign up as eventually they want to cash out.

I don’t live in LB, but as I understand there is a registration in title which allows them access to the lake. Non residents don’t have access.

Will be interesting to see what happens when a property which had this registration entitling a typical family access to the lake is multiplied by 8 when a developer puts up an 8 plex on the property.

Predictably, when a municipally mic drop the development review process the quality of communities degrade.

It’s social engineering and will not work as envisioned by these woke, eat the rich council members. All I can hope for is for them to feel repercussions in the form of job loss and direct negative quality of life as people who don’t share their values are foisted upon them in their respective yurts and communal living quarters.

What do you mean? This rezoning will totally make for affordable housing. Just look at this listing with it's cheap $750g per unit prices!

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

Cars are the problem. Clearly we need restrictive covanenets ot prevent private car ownership.

Trudeau pays for this. Have an acquaintance who was looking for capital to help build these "affordable" housing projects. He even set up a front that sounds like a charity.

Not sure how letting more people into the market and allowing people to insure 50% more is going to help affordability. It's like Freeland owns a bunch of houses in the $1-1.5M range and wants to unload before her next job review. Kinda like the west LRT.
    Her disclosed properties.

Needs to offset the Kiev one that's probably an insurance claim.
