[QUOTE=Pacman;5169677]I like Willow Park a lot, but that house could probably be bought in an inner city neighborhood for the same money.

Watching this one with a bit of curiosity. I'm in the same area and mine is bigger (yep, first time I've gotten to say that). Not that I can afford to nor want to go anywhere else at the moment.

North of Country Hills in that area is what I'd consider "pretty fucking far". Cannot see the appeal of an inner-city sized lot, but way the fuck out there.

Is an "inner city sized lot" considered big or small?

Definitely small for the most part. Any large lot that did exist has a high chance it's been subdivided into two homes if not more (particularly if on a corner). If you want a modern home, with a historically large lot, in the inner city, you're into the multi-millions.

There's an old house I walk by with the dog by that developers must be drooling over

But it's only 10mins to Aspen via ring road.

So? You're in an incredible location in general for Canmore, have no neighbours and an uninterrupted view of both mountain ranges.

Canmore seems the dream for Toronto transplants given they already think a 1 hour commute is short.
