A blast from the past. We had to go to the open house and really experience this place. It was like being in a museum!

I don't think I'd change a thing in that place. Also, wish I was around some of the parties there back in the day
I’d change the kitchen appliances probably, but that would be it. Place is very cool. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Like not “I want to buy it and actually live in it” cool, but it’s neat and I love MCM time capsules like that.
Only thing that house needs as an Oscar Meyer Weiner car out front - match the ketchup/mustard/relish look of the house/yard. What a house, that place is cool beans.A blast from the past. We had to go to the open house and really experience this place. It was like being in a museum!

Im a huge MCM fan.. but so many 'wtfs??' in this house. Huge mix of furniture.. some period appropriate, some not and then odd things like the kitchen in the basement.. with laundry in the ktichen.. and and and. Is it as awakward in person as it is in photos??
The laundry was a weird thing but also felt European somehow. Another WTF that you may not be able to see is that on the top shelf to the far right are about 30 pepper grinders.
What's crazy is it looked like the original furnace was still operating, and they had a 1960s General Electric fridge in another room - the style your wife wants now available from SMEG.
There were a lot of WTFs in the house but somehow felt fine because it fit the rest of the house
One was to get behind the bar, you actually had to bend down through a ~2' x 2' entryway. Little electric fireplaces were scattered throughout the house as I don't think they ran HVAC to these rooms originally.

I wouldn't change the original furnace.
$100 for a new motor from Arnes and it'll run for another 50 years.
That is a pretty cool place to see

Womp womp.
That place is amazing. Reminds me of the place across the street from my Grandma's. Guy's wife had died early on and he changed nothing from the late 50s when it was built. Kitchen was mint and green like that with original appliances, wood panel walls, built in shelves everywhere. It was amazing.

That's a really nice house, but I like bungalows. The backyard isn't as nice as the house. Would live there for sure but not sure what I would pay for it. $1M isn't too far off is it?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
new fence, pergola, lights, fire pit etc would make it nice... they ran outta budget lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Edit: also island is too small, not enough counter spacer... but i think its nice too
