    I assume the days of a detached with garage for around $500k are gone?

    Looking to move out of my condo at some point but seems like laned homes are now 500-600k.

    Wonder if prices will come down in the next couple of years or if we should just start looking for something.

    Okotoks and Cochrane still super challenging to be under 500k for detached w/ garage.. Currently 2 in Okotoks, 3 in Cochrane.. all dated or in shitty locations.

    We're looking at a move to Cochrane in the next 6 months and its pretty slim pickings

    This place is worth the look on realtor.ca, cause its fucking amazing.

    I think so. Anything with a detached garage that I have seen is close to $600k. You could find one without a garage and build your own, that's what we are thinking at least.

    That could be an option to deal with for a bit.

    Also Cochrane wouldn't be too bad actually but just not sure how driving into Calgary would be in the winter.

    Okotoks is too far for us.

    Inventory is low right now, but there's detached houses (that need updating) for less than $500k in the south central area (between Fish Creek Park and Glenmore Trail). There's three in my neighborhood for around $475k, and one as low as $450k

    Those days are long gone unfortunately. In regards to Calgarys pricing, my magic 8 ball says the prices will go up but at a slower pace than the last 2 years, tried to ask for the next couple of years but i only have the base model so it only predicts up to 8 months
