Default Suggestions for shipping larger items (furniture) out east?

Looking to ship two coffee tables out east (Collector Mid century modern type stuff) and looking for suggestions. The tables can be packed fairly flat when taken apart.. but at ~60 inches long, I dont think a regular courie would take them.

    Any suggestions?

Regular courier ground freight will take that no problem. Can they be packed into one long parcel and a separate smaller cubic shape? Probably cheaper than a single larger package.

How valuable and how well can you pack them from a protection standpoint? That's going to be important

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

I would likely need custom made boxes, or at least custom cut them myself with added protection since they are teak.
The two tables are worth ~2k.
One is 57x23x4" (taken apart) the other is 32x29x4". Guessing 2 packages due to size differences.

I was in the exact opposite situation to you last year, looking to ship a bike from Kingston to Calgary in a cardboard bike box. Your larger box is similar dimensions to my bike, just less height.
Yes ground carriers would ship it and here's what I was dealing with for cost, ~350 with a weight of about 40lbs. There was lots of variability in cost amongst the different carriers so do shop around. Air Canada Cargo was also an option with delivery from airport to airport only, they are slightly cheaper from what I recall being in the $280-300 range.
    Hope this helps

I also found Uship, which you enter your dimensions and name a price in hopes that someone picks it up. I am going to box everything up this weekend and give that a shot. Comparably sized items went for 200-350.
