Well, that was an enjoyable win! Didn't think we'd win that after falling behind by 2.

Really fun game, it is amazing having a top tier goalie that you can rely on in close games. Love to see Johnny looking like a star again and the boys getting back to their come back ways.
The confidence a team has playing in front of a bonafide #1 goalie is immeasurable. It's still early to say, but If Marky continues to play Kipper-esque, I see lot's of success for this team. Having Johnny starting to look like an all star again is nice, too.

Didn't watch the game but watched the dirty dirty shootout winner by Johnny and the equally dirty dirty shootout save by Markstrom.
I know he scored a fluke goal, but much love to Chris Tanev. He has been a revelation and a very calming presence on defense and makes the smart play. So much better than Hamonic. I think two of our best players so far have been the Vancouver rejects (not including Leivo). Good thing Johnny is being Johnny again because Chucky has been subpar thus far.
Campbell commentary makes watching Flame games unbearable.

She was the worst I’ve ever heard last night.
Terrible terrible terrible.
Bring back Leah Hextall
While I'm not a Flames fan I do enjoy watching Edmonton lose, more than I enjoy watching the Canucks win.
Those black jerseys last night were fire.
Yup the Blasty threads looked amazing. That was a big win too

Flames are unbelievably frustrating to watch.
We learned back in Atom hockey that you do NOT lose a puck battle within 5’ on either side of the blue line.
The amount of battles the flames lose in that area is incredible.
Consistently failing to clear the defensive zone, and failing to gain entry in the offensive zone.
Not shocking this team has been as mediocre as they have been this year.
The biggest problem is that the team has no game plan for a tight checking game for the last couple of years. It’s been exposed in our last few playoffs appearances. The team just can’t handle consistent pressure when the opponents limit the chance of passing, and the team just panics and turns the puck over. Gaudreau and Monaghan becomes complete duds. The Canucks have been taking advantage of that to neutralize our offense. We typically don’t see tight checking as much in regular season so the team looks ok.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I agree.
Games like these are where you need to simplify the game, North/south, short passes, 5 man unit.
Not every goal needs to be a highlight reel goal.
And zero fight tonight. Van chirping Markstrom and zero response. Chucky silent as well. Lame effort. Hopefully they wake up for the Oilers back to back.
4 out of a possible 8 vs Van is unacceptable!
