Was my alter ego Fight Club styles the whole time.
Still looking for one. Not sure what's going on but there seems to be very little in the market and the ones that are listed seem to be overpriced. Anything that pops up at a decent price is selling quickly. I wonder if these are being exported to the states?
Starting to look at 2019s now too as I'm finding some for not too much more than the 2018s.
What ranges are you finding? I ask because if the price is right, I could be convinced to push up my plan by a year and order a new 2021 F150 and sell my 2019. There is nothing wrong with my 2019, but the new features in the 2021 have me salivating a bit. I was planning on doing it for 2022, but...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I'm not looking at ford's as much as the rams but for a 2019 ford the range I'm seeing is high 40's to high 50's with most in the 50-54 range.
I also spoke with someone i know who just traded in in a 2018 Lariat with the 3.5 ecoboost and just over 100k. He got $41k from the dealer and is upgrading to a new v8 so the trade in value isn't too bad on them either.
One or two year old trucks are terrible value when brand new is basically the same price. Have you been looking at brand new as well? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Are you looking for the new body style rams or ram classic? Because the ram classics are pretty good value for brand new.. low to mid 40s for a warlock which can be pretty well optioned.
what's a ram classic warlock? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The ram classic is a older generation body style ram. They are 2020 rams. The warlock is a trim line. It seems like it’s in between a ram SLT and Laramie depending on options. And then the exterior has a similar grill and bumper to a ram rebel so it looks more aggressive. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But they seem priced pretty decent compared to the new body style Rams or the other domestics.
wow. I thought for sure that was a typo. Those madlads at FCA will market anyway anyhow these days
Can get a brand new Ram Classic Crew cab truck for $40k flat. It's a very low price. About $2k lower than the lowest F150 Crew cab I can find. Now, you make your own judgement about the value of that.
However it does highlight the lack of value for a 1-2 year old used truck.

Value wise the Ram Classic is great but I hate that you cannot get it with leather. I guess for 40g you can always put in used leather seats and then be very similar to a 2018 ram sport that is going used for 45g.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There was basically no price difference (once bargained down) between my 2020 Ferd F150 in supercab and crew cab form. $40k flat was about right for a 302a sport package when I bought. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Had to have dat payload doe. I don't think the crew cabs can be had with a 6.5 box and the payload package, so that might have made the overall prices similiar.
While I didn't particularly like Heartland Ford in Fort Sask, their pricing was tough to beat.
I really regret the F150 purchase though. Should have went with a Ram TRX. Thing has a full floater rear axle, put as much weight on it as you want (and the best configured payload is still good for ~1800lbs). 700hp and a foot of travel? Would have made a bitchin' work truck.
So to the OP, you should go Ram 1500 TRX. Problem solved.
When i was looking for a new truck i was hoping to find a 1-2 year old truck but some were wanting close to new price and most were asking over what its worth because they were still upside down lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

If you are paying cash, there are a few deals out there, but not that many, because you have to fight off the exporters and the dealership used departments, who are also thin on inventory.
If you are financing, there's no way to make any sense of buying used. 1.99, or lower interest n new purchase is too attractive.

I think that is the reason a lot of the used vehicle market is priced so high. People that are upside down on their loans are pricing their vehicles at high prices trying to get out of their loans. Then others who are not upside down look to sell theirs, see all these inflated prices on places like Kijiji and the like, and think, wow, my grocery getter is worth more than I thought, and proceed to list their vehicles at higher prices. Then Joe Blow comes along and sees all these vehicles listed at such high prices and thinks they are all on crack, but soon realizes that there isn't anything cheaper out there...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. So, sellers, thank all those people who are upside down in their loans for inflating the used vehicle market to the point that depreciation doesn't hurt you like it did 8-10 years ago.

Most of the newer trucks I buy a either high mileage for the age or the owners have zero or negative equity but are getting a deal on a new vehicle and have to move it.
What people owe on their vehicles does add some stickiness to the market prices but I think that is a smaller driver. Demand keeps prices up and as said that is export demand currently. Exchange rates with the states is the driver. If the CAD increases vs USD say goodbye to these used prices. Could mean 15% or 20%.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
