Default Is this a "gaming" laptop?

I am putting together a golf simulator with a Mevo+ and GSPro software which requires "GTX 1070 or RX 580 GPU, minimum."

Would this laptop fit the bill?

    Thank you!

Then you are looking for 3060/2060 min. 3050 won't cut it.

Whoa! I think that's ideal for what I'm looking for, though!
I'm glad I randomly clicked your thread.

What sort of resolution are you planning to use? 3070 would be the bare minimum for me. A laggy simulator sounds like an awful time.

Is this a portable simulator? Why a laptop? Desktop tower is going to be WAY more powerful and cheaper.

You could also try cloud gaming. Basically renting a remote high power gaming PC and streaming the data. Its quite cost effective if you just want occasional gaming. Vagon is nice since its pay per hour but other service are pay per month.

    Thanks for the responses!

Mevo+ is a portable simulator but it will stay dedicated in a room. I am totally open to a desktop and thought they might be cheaper but I honestly cannot find a decent gaming desktop under $1000 and that does not include a monitor.

It won't be used for any other type of gaming...so I am basing it off the specs of what GSPRO requires which is the actual golf software.

And regarding resolution...the BenQ projector that is highly recommended is a 1080P

    Two other options?

Stop it with the 3050s if min spec say 1070, 2nd one won't go.

    1st one may.

And it's always nice to have a bit more HP over min spec just in case. Especially laptop counterpart of the same line is already less powerful than the desktop cards since they are gimped by lower power limits. IE a desktop 3060 will run much better than a laptop 3060.

You need to ask a forum dedicated to Mevo+ on what hardware they are getting away with.
