There is 10+ eVGA 3090 cards in stock at MemEx right now if anyone wants to spend 2440$ for one. Online store and the home base NE store, in store as well from the look of the website. I ordered one, sell my Zotac for that on Ebay in the US, or close to it, and replace the one 3090 I didn't really want, but picked up only because it's all that was available the day or two after launch for me.

Wait, everything? I just bought a system from them (parts to build) and it definitely was NOT final sale.

Its only the new series items that are final sale. Any other hardware is usual. Ryzen 5000's, Nvidia 3000's and the amd GPUs are all final sale.

No, sorry for the panic. I meant to say "everything desirable", that is my mistake. All the Ampere GPUs and Ryzen 5000 CPUs are labeled final sale on their website.

3070's are also final sale so "2080TI and up" does not seem to be the case though.

Thats definitely not going to fly with credit card companies - the receipt at the time of purchase is the final word in terms of return policy at the time of purchase. Your return policy today =/= policy 6 months ago.

Whatever their website mentions is BS - if they start denying returns because their website said do - its going to become chargeback city for them and their CC processing fee is going to jump.

I mean good lord - "2080Ti and UP" is referencing the NVIDIA family. Cards like RX 6900 XT are not included in this category and a CC chargeback consultant would overturn memex claims.

I bet as soon as the 6000 series GPUs drop they will have the same warning, but you're right that the website does not match the receipt with regards to their BS policy.

What happens with a CC chargeback on an item you purchased vs. an intangible service not rendered? Do you end up with the item for free?

I've never had a CC chargeback denied (thank you Capital One) but it's always been for services or flight tickets.

If you decide to return something thats not listed on the receipt as FINAL (eg. RX card) and mem ex denies it - you can definitely apply for a chargeback and then mem ex might ask you to bring it in, or else you could end up with a free unit at mem ex' cost.

Obviously this is not going to fly more than a few times as the CC will put a stop to further chargebacks - but for eg. myself, a systems builder, could potentially have 2-3 cards that I need returned within their standard return window.

I am interested to know too. Maybe to even expand the budget a little higher to about $500ish.

I am starting to plan my build out now, and hoping to finish it all by end of February. I want a good setup for gaming, streaming, and being a minecraft server for the kids, and doing it all at the same time.

Ah ok, thanks anyway, I figured I would put it into a PC I'm building for my pop (he decided out of the blue that he wants a Win 10 PC instead of his Ipad mini, joining the PC master race at 72).

The 5800/5900/5950 hunt continues.

I was so shocked that MemEx had all those 3090s, 10+ in the online store...odd to me, but in a happy - I just bought one and sold my Zotac one for $50 less than the cost of arguably the best 3090 card available - sort of odd.

Is that $300-$400 USD? Cause there is no way the 3060Ti will be $300-$400 CAD. I'm guessing it'll be just slightly under a 3070 at around $629.

What resolution do you game in?
