Just built a DANCases A4 SFX up as a home server. Sort of a silly case to use for a headless *nix box but it's worked out great. 3700x with 64gb.

Also if you want a great mITX case that will run a full ATX PSU, check out the Fractal Designs Nano S. The big drawback is that footprint wise it's not that small. You save some vertical space but length/width-wise it's hardly smaller than a mid tower. I really really love mine, built it up with a 280mm NZXT AIO
I'm looking at the Cooler Master NR200. They all look similar after a while.

New monitor finally arrived, feels good to sit in front of it, curve isn't as crazy as it looks.
Resolution lays a beating on frame rate even with a 3080.
CPU and GPU didn't get over 55°C after a half an hour or so of iRacing last night so I'm quite happy, that's with the top cover on and the front panel closed. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My old monitor is for sale: https://forums.beyond.ca/threads/413...Gaming-Monitor
Holding off on listing on Kijiji in case someone on here wants it.
I also have a brand new 32" Samsung Odyssey G7 on its way, supposed to be delivered early next week, Best Buy didn't cancel the order before it shipped so I'll have to return it to a store otherwise.
Got it on a black Friday deal, was $749+ tax/fee, so I think it was $797.xx
If anyone is interested in the G7 let me know.
Downsized a few month ago from a big showy ThermalTake Core P3 open air, and decided to go SFF/MiniITX since it was taking up too much room on my desk, and I fell down the youtube rabbit hole of SFF. Picked up a used black Nouvelo Steck (very similar to the Ghost S1) and used for a month, then moved all my stuff to a white NR200P. Running nothing major (1080ti, Ryzen 3 3100). Thermals and noise are much better in the NR200.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Will post photos when I get home.

Which configuration did you go with for the NR200? I want air cooled for a change but the GPU riser + mesh + AIO on the bottom seems to be the best. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

LOL I've been lurking this thread since it started, and am always jealous of what pops up here.
Last 3 builds this year:
Old Thermaltake Core P3 showy setup (Asus Strix 1080ti):
Nouvolo Steck setup (Zotac Mini 1080ti):
Current CoolerMaster NR200P setup (EVGA 1080ti FTW3, glass panel removed for clarity):
Running bottom to top air setup. Horizontal GPU, Noctua 15x120mm slim fans as intake at the bottom, Noctua Redux 25x120mm fans as exhaust up top. TG side panel, Noctua L12S CPU cooler currently as since I had to use it for the Steck, but since I have more room now, I will probably swap out to a Chromax U9S cooler. Stays pretty cool and quiet currently. Will hopefully upgrade in the near future (when stock is normalized) to 3060ti or 3070, but this setup is doing just fine for 1080p stuff, and the sim rig with the Oculus Quest. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Can you put a standardized banana for scale?

Ahh gotcha, I saw the two boxes in your parts picture and assumed you were running two fans. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've thought about running the 140mm fan on the accessory bracket, but it looks like it blocks a fair bit of the area over the fan. That will also introduce a gap between the fan and the heat sink through which hot air from the GPU can flow. Not sure how much it will effect the actual CPU temperatures, but something I've been thinking about since I put this thing together. I'll have some time over the holidays to tinker around with it.
Juror, you can look into some mITX cases on those asian market sites like Taobao etc. My friend picked up a Ghost S1 clone from there.
I hate you guys. Opinions on this build pls.

I'd do the 5800x over the 3900xt for sure. It's the least popular of the new ryzen chips so often shows up in stock. Calgary has had 10+ in stock a few times and they gradually disappear. If you call you should almost certainly be able to reserve one and get it within a week or so.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Not sure why you'd do a 250gb boot + 1tb other + media drive. I'd just use the 1tb for boot & stuff, makes life easier to install things on the default C:\ most of the time.
I agree except for the reason you mentioned and I lose cores. Moar coars are good, right? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The ryzen 5000's are more efficient per core though. For any games/applications that can't utilize all 12 cores you would lose out a bit of performance. But I guess it depends what you want to use it for, some games are still only really optimized for a handful of cores. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I don't game much. I primarily use the system to shitpost on beyond and occasionally open up the marthsheet to obtain tendies. I want to increase my shitposting quality by 15% so the admins pay me more. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
3800xt is a lot cheaper and probably the smarter route I guess.

What's the primary use? gaming? then 5800x..or just go 5600x. video editing, heavy multi use then 3900xt. moar cores the better overall but if they go unused then meh. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
BFV is cpu intensive, frostbite rapes. Everything else I play...apex, cyberpunk, all easy street.
I would go at least 500GB for boot drive, +1 on going 5800x vs older generation
Beyond uses a single thread so a 5800x will load your shitposts that much faster. The amount of additional rep you'll receive easily makes it worth it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I would probably lean more on the multi use. I generally keep about 6 beyond windows open for each of my alts, then a dozen for shopping, and at least 8 reddit wsb memes running simultaneously for good luck. I also plan to use this to support my new business venture - the one with the bangbus EV and wyze cams. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Updating to 500gb boot drive. Maybe 64gb of ram to hold all my material.
Fine I will search for a 5800. No one wants old Q2 2020 shit.
