I think at this point I am just going to wait for 4000 series as my 1080Ti still does 90% of what I need it to. The more I see how terrible of a deal the 3080Ti and 3090 are, the less I want a new GPU haha. I'd maybe buy a 3080 if they come back in stock by the end of the year, otherwise might as well wait for 4000 series on 5-7nm.

Its pretty expensive all things considering. I was expecting it to be a bigger upgrade from the 3080 like last gens 2080 to 2080t. Its almost like a OC model performance wise compared to the 3080. Some games are getting 5-10 fps more then the 3080 at 1440p and it costs way more. Definitely a cash grab.

On a good note memx backorders are finally being filled so I think the 3080 will become more available shortly

Yeah, it isnt an amazing card for the money. Wish they had released at the rumored $999 usd. I keep the bestbuy tab pinned in case and joined the waitlist for the EVGA hydrocopper on their website but that is $1499 usd I just would prefer something with premounted water block, memx has no 3080 like that and evga has their oos forever so cant join the waitlist.

Yeah just the perfect storm of crypto, covid and people being bored. Fear of missing out is real. Ive seen tons of people in some of the groups I'm in picking up 3070s and 3080s with 1080p 144hz monitors hahahah

I think best bang for your buck is 3070 or 3080. I think restocks are gonna start happening alot more now that everything is opening up
