I really need to clean my desk up, and free up real estate. I am currently running 5 monitors (3x 24" Acers, and 2x HP 19") off my work laptop, and my laptop screen for 6 total monitors. 3 stacked on top of the smaller 3.

I am contemplating getting 2 ultra wide monitors to replace the setup, stacking them on top of each other. I am thinking of like 42" ultra wides. What are my budget friendly options here? Spending $4k outta my own wallet for my WFH setup seems kinda excessive...
i remember a picture of your desk a while ago, it was a mess. dont recall if you are using articulting monitor arms for desks. there are triple ones. i find it cleared up my desk after i bought a dual arm for my desk at home

No idea of 42's but I really like my 34" and its on sale for ~500$ atm (ends tonight) so fairly cheap compared to some of the bigger ones.

I am about to build my new desk for WFH and for gaming. The top row in the picture are the 24" monitors on a triple arm stand while the bottom are on individual stands.

I just really wanna find a way to reduce my cables and get some desk space back.

maybe something like this so that the 2 smaller screens are not on the desk
    https://www.amazon.ca/VIVO-Standing-...077999&sr=8-16

then order long power and approriate video cables so that you can tie them all up.
also you could look for monitors with slim bezels.

anyone interested on a phantek p500a in black, less than a year old. thinking of downsizing to a p300a
edit: looks like i have a p400a, not a p500a if anyone interested haha

This is the XL. Im running push pull on the rad. Under max load gaming hitting 56cpu and 70gpu both. Cpu is stock i7 9700 and gpu is overclocked +100 core +700 ram. Super stable hitting 2050mhz. Only got this pic with tucked rad hoses all white. Any questions lmk. Ive built 7 different PCs for friends this lockdown but waiting till next gen to upgrade anything major (cpu/gpu). Hitting 130-200fps at 1440p in most titles.

Am I the only one who likes a completely dark PC case? If I am gaming or working (especially if I have the lights in the room off) I find it very distracting to have colored lights flashing at me from the side. Do you guys just always have bright room lights on to drown it out or does it not bother you? They look super cool though.

Mine has built in led controls on the front. Just tap it and all the lights turn off if it's dark. But I typically have the room lights on anyways, gaming in the dark is hard on your eyes.

Mine done flash though, it's a calm gradient fade and not noticeable

Yeah great thing about icue is you can literally hit one button and it blacks out everything. I find it's ok unless brightness is cranked to 100 or the rgb is moving.

    This is tempting...

So did a bit of work this morning getting the screen mounted and cables tucked away. Power to the screen is now running from a USB header, and I have a more manageable HDMI cable that I could route around to the back and out of the case to the HDMI port on the 3070. The small securing nuts just barely held onto the standoffs on the PSU cage, so I added a slight bit of hot glue at the ends so the screen wouldn't wiggle out, and so its not permanent incase I want to take it off to decide to do something else. Also didn't like the raw look of the screen borders itself, so I temporarily just put some electrical tape on the edge to black it out. May either eventually use vinyl, or even have a buddy 3D print a bezel for it. Found a Rainmeter system monitor design that I liked and adjusted it a bit to pick up the right sensors in HWInfo. I like the layout, and will most likely leave it while I mess around with Aida64 to maybe get a different look. Side note: I hate cable managing in SFF cases. I still see some stuff I dont like when I look at my picture again, will most likely end up getting some custom length cables to clean things up even more.

Pretty much done with my CSGO build after I picked up the 3900XT on sale earlier.

    Case: CM NR200
    CPU: 3900XT
    Mobo: Asus X570 ITX
    Cooler: Noctua U12A
    PSU: Corsair SF750
    GPU: Gigabyte 3060 Ti OC
    RAM: Corsair LPX 2 x 32GB
    SSD: WD SN850 2TB, Sabrent Rocket 2TB
    HDD: Seagate 10TB
    Extra Fans: 2 x Noctua 120mm Slim + 2 x Noctua 120x25

    Thoughts:
    - NR200 is a fantastic case for the size. Cable management is shit because it's tight in there with the U12A, HDD, and short cables. A++
    - Mobo fit was a little tight Asus' weird HD Audio connection is dumb. It took me 45 mins of trying to jam the connector from the case into the pins before I noticed an extension in the box. No mention of that extension in the manual. RAM took a few attempts to seat properly. IO shield doesn't line up perfectly (partially covering one USB port) unless I torqued the mobo down a bit more than I typically do. PWM splitter required as there is only one set of pins for chasis fans. I would have purchased the Gigabyte board if they didn't skimp on the number of ports. B
    - U12A is super quiet and fits in the case without bulging - it's less than a mm from touching the side of the case. AIDA64 stress test CPU temp peaked at 69C sustained, idle is about 40C. This is incredible. The other Noctua fans are super quiet even without the low noise adapters. A++
    - SF750 fan rarely spins up and is inaudible when stressed. More headroom than I need. Tests for its brother, SF600, has shown up to Titanium efficiency. Cables are pliable and a good length for SFF. A
    - Corsair LPX RAM. It's a shame that the 32GB modules only come in 3200Mhz CL16 or 3600Mhz CL18. The math works out to be the same net speed, so I picked up the CL18 on sale last week.
