did you change from 3060ti to 3060?

im sticking with my 3060ti, figured by the time i've caught up with newer games that demands a beefier videocard then a 4060 or 5060 will be out
plus videocard matters only if you play videogames.

LOL, thats one way to put it.

But not really, its more like a 3070 base model. The 3060ti has the GA104 chip which is the same one as 3070, just with few cores and such enabled, so just most likely a lower binned chip. The 3060 has a different chip altogether, which is leading me to believe there may eventually be a 3060Super

Whats the best way to get a windows key for a new build?

I remember the last time I did a build many moons ago, you used to be able to get a key from MemX for $35 or something when you were purchasing specific computer parts for a new build, but I don't see that any more.

I grab mine from here usually. Not sure on legitimacy but all the keys have worked properly to date using the official Microsoft installers and activations. Guessing someone's just pushing extra keys off a corporate account on the side.

I've been using keys like that for years too. They are typically surplus keys originally bought by OEMs that get sold off in bulk to resellers.

yeah 3060ti has more cores and memory bandwidth, whereas the 3060 has more RAM. still don't fully understand the full difference but assumption would be the ti version be better especially since it cost more.

I think the 3060 with more ram was to combat the 6800 having so much RAM?

I also use grey market keys, from semi-questionable sites. I picked up my Win 10 pro key for like $20? years ago, and it's still working and valid. The biggest issue is they're OEM keys, so they tie themselves to the mobo, and you can't reuse them down the line.

I bought a grey market license once from ebay and received an email from ebay stating that there is potential fraud with the seller (even though they had a lot of positive ratings).
Got scurrred and bought a legit copy.

That should stop in about 2-3 months, hopefully. Then all the scalpers will start to sell them at MSRP like they're doing us a favour.

Corsair RM750x. I don't have all the extra cables that came with the psu with me unfortunately.
