No doubt they are heading for ANOTHER lock down there. The people (and thus governments) reflect a lack of econ 101.

How many people, who has criticized other people for not understanding econ 101, has actually passed econ 101? I did. On my third attempt.

My university started first year courses numbering at 201. 101 didn't exist. Weird.

So early this year (before covid) I booked 4 flights to PIE from Edmonton for $341 each (with taxes) for October. Had to cancel because the bubble wasn't opened and now I have $1364 in a travel bank and looking at having to pay more to try this again for next year. On the bright side I have more travel bank dollars from flights to Vancouver that were cancelled as well. I think I am going to stop trying to book flights even in Canada.

Well, we are 2% off hospitalization threshold to have more lockdown here in AB. As outdoor gathering becoming not an option as temp goes down, I don't see any more slow down in cases.

Quite disappointed in westjet employees. They voted to Unionize for Western province employees.

Good riddence at keeping costs low and having young, enthusiastic employees.
Air Canada Jr. Here we go.

So why do we need Air Canada if we have a spare lying around?

I have trouble blaming them since they likely can't get a bunch of ownership credits in the company now that it's been sold to whoever weird name bought it.

OnomatalopoeiaX ownership was the end of the last vestiges of "fun funky family" airline vibes.

If you work for someone who treats you like a completely replaceable interchangeable part, may as well formalize that status with a union.

No worries, still several steps better from a customer service standpoint than AC. That's nearly, but not quite, nothing.

They gave up the low-cost model with the wide-body routes, so they've wanted to be AC Jr. since at least 2014.

I personally blame the lack of bike lanes to the airport

They're basically servers who also know how to use seatbelts. My airline would have vending machines on the plane redeemable snack via your scanned ticket.
There's enough Karen's around now to deal with the standing while seatbelt sign is lit for me.

Give it time. I'm sure AC had young, youthful staff at one point.
