Default Custom-made vs Store bought Mattress

In the market for a new mattress. Wanted to splurge a little more as I'm getting back aches and shoulder pains from current mattress.

Was wondering if there are any thoughts on the locally made mattresses versus buying from a big box brand store? My budget is closer to 3k as I've been sleeping on my 1k mattress for a while.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you might have to double your budget for custom made.

Too bad that the member who used to work at the brick mattress store. He was a chill guy. All the regular mattress stores are awful to work with. Fuck em and buy at ikea. Big sale on this one until Halloween.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Black sheep will set you up with a custom natural latex mattress. Depending on size you might be able to sneak in at 3k

That’s a pleasant surprise. For some reason I thought customs were >$5k.

Shopping at The Brick Mattress Store is >>>>> shopping at The Brick. It's pretty much pleasant, honestly, while regular Brick is a shit sandwich and a kick in the balls. I've been to the Okotoks location and Brian is fantastic to deal with. If you're in Edmonton, that one at 63rd & 99th Street (right next to that giant porn & dildo store) is also good.
For $3k you would be able to get one of their best of the best Simmons BeautyRest on sale for infinity percent off.

This custom idea does give me a 0.75 chubby, though....

    My 12" king was $6k.

But I think their 7" queens are $3.5k or something?

So everything in between is available.

You must be really short, your towel rack in your bathroom must super short.

Edit: You're probably talking about mattress thickness. My bad

If you're not getting a king, might as well sleep on the floor.
