I've been saying this for years, and it's the second gen immigrants gaining influence in society, business and politics that should finally send this bitch to bed without her supper.
If you were Chinese, Philippino, or Indian (from India) and you watched your parents bust their fuckin asses for decades so you could be still poor enough to barely get by but eek ahead and now you've gone to school and are doing alright thanks to your own extremely hard work, why would you give a quarter of a fuck about some other visible minority ethnic group that argues they've had it rough for the last 200 years? You can clearly see that the govt has had an extremely preferential taxation, grants, resource development and education system designed to benefit FN. You can see that zero people from your own ethnic group did anything at all to the FN hundreds of years ago. Yet, your people are still expected to accept the same vicarious guilt and continue with a system of preference based on ethnicity.

Good luck with that. There appears to be a struggle to get Canadian immigrants to even care about Remembrance Day, so I'm eager to see how long the gravy train continues for the FN.

This 1000x. I wasn't born in Canada and my parents came here when I was a young lad. We had nothing except a few suitcases. Less than 30 years later my parents can now retire comfortably and give a nice inheritance for their kids because of hard work. They started with essentially nothing, they didn't whine and complain, block roads, train tracks or place blame on so-called colonialists. I couldn't give a shit about any ethnic group that had it rough 200 years ago and still whining that their preferential treatment isn't good enough. The treaties, the acts, whatever else are in place need to be torn up and modernized. One set of rules for everyone, regardless of skin color.
