But have you owned it since new?

If we're counting stuff that's just old, we have furniture that's been in my wife's family for 200 years.

Today I learned the median age of beyond members is at least 63 thanks to this thread.

We've got some old cookbooks in this house.

1929 edition of - "Mrs. Allen on Cooking, Menus, Service"
1892 (I think?) edition of "The Every-Day Cook-Book and Encyclopedia of Practical Recipes For Family Use: Economical, Reliable, Excellent" by Miss. E. Neil

Hmm, I think my oldest things are my sewing machines, both mid-late 1950s. Unlike half the people in this thread, I didn't buy them new...

Speaking of swimco going out of business, I have a pair of swim trunks that I bought on a trip to West Edmonton Mall in 2001. Probably Zellers or whatever the cheapest store in that mall was back then.

When I go on a mall vacation the first thing I like to do is go shopping. Save the mall and pool for day 2 or 3, what's the rush?

Edit: Fuck me, this joke probably doesn't work. If you went on a mall vacation you probably would go shopping. I thought I was being a clever cunt using his posts against him but in this context it just makes sense. I've had a couple cocktails.

I've kept this around for 7 years or so now, just waiting for the right person to annoy me.

I've got a couple of melamine plates that we used as camping dishes when I was a kid. Took them with me when I left home and that's 30 years ago. My guess is they would have been new in the mid 70's.
