Hey everyone! I just have a question and seeking advice.
Today, my wife got a speeding ticket (photo radar) in Deerfoot having a speed of 118 km/hr. I was the driver; the vehicle is just registered on her name.
Anyway, the notice shows 2 pictures; but both pictures (including the zoomed picture) is totally black. It does not show her plate number and literally can only see the contour of the tail lights of her car (on the un-zoomed picture).
I had a ticket before and just paid it. It was quite obvious on my ticket though as the picture showed my plate number. This one is totally black. There is probably a way that they can "enhance" the picture but I am totally not sure. If there's such process, I'm surprised they did not put those "enhanced pictures" to show her plate number on the notice letter.
I guess my question is, there is a number on the notice that I can call if we think it is not our car. Honestly, I don't know if it's our car. I just remember we went thru Deerfoot a couple of weeks ago and just basing it to that fact. Should I just call this number?
The other option is just present my case on the court where I will just show them the notice; the black pictures and ask how can they prove it's our vehicle if the pictures do not show any license plates. I will represent my wife as she's pregnant and will be 9 months on scheduled court date lol.
Thanks everyone in advance.
