Default Buying car in New Brunswick - allowed to fly in from AB during Covid?

Found a GSW in New Brunswick for a good price and in the favorite 'Peacock Green' - I'm finding conflicting info online as to whether I'll be able to fly into NB and drive out of the province with the car.

Can anyone definitively answer whether I'll be allowed to enter the province? Sounds like I might be screened at the airport and turned away for 'non-essential' travel.

yeah, you will get turned away. And if they do let you in, you will be under a mandatory 14 day quarantine and they do check up on you during it to make sure you are adhering to the provincial order.

I don’t know if NB is different, but for NS you are allowed to fly there but you are required to immediately go somewhere to quarantine. That said, you are allowed to stop quarantining to leave within the 14 day window.

So if the rules are the same, I don’t see how you wouldn’t be allowed to fly there “quarantine” at buddies house to sign paperwork, and immediately drive back to Alberta.

Probably moot as best I can tell no one is really running flights to NB anyway. Maybe the easy choice is get him to meet you at the Quebec border (dunno what bubble enforcement looks like).

GSW. I'm done my learning for today.

Why is OP supporting the East Coast bubble economy? Plenty of beaters available locally. SHAME!

PEI would not let you. You'd be in the situation spikerS mentioned (post 3).
NB has been almost exactly as crazy as PEI throughout this, so I'm quite confident you can't.
You cannot stop quarantine prematurely like Killramos is saying (post 10) in PEI and it's news to me that NS is allowing that.

The vehicle is at a dealership (clutch auto). Paperwork and financials would be handled remotely. I’d be flying in and putting my plate on it and immediately heading back to AB.

Very hard to find a green GSW, especially in the base trim. Also, they run 11s 1/4 mile with a few basic mods - DSG + lightweight turbo wagon = ridiculous

Yea based on 5 seconds on their website it looks like NB is much more restrictive than NS.

Any chance the dealer has an affiliate in Quebec that they can truck the car to?

What I posted for NS is definitely accurate though, maybe dealer can transfer car to Halifax as an option (easier to fly to Halifax than NB).

You may come to Nova Scotia for fewer than 14 days, however you must self-isolate for the length of time you are here if you are coming from outside of Atlantic Canada.
Might be impossible to transit through NB though.

What's wrong with shipping it? Can even ship it to Ontario and pick it up from there.

    This might be the answer.

FWIW - the GSW is @ Clutch Auto in Nova Scotia. New Brunswick was suggested because I have family there who could 'receive' the car and park it until I fly out in December.

It does appear that flying into NS is a possibility, but making it through NB might be the problem.

Might be worthwhile to clarify whether you are allowed to transit through NB without stopping.
