I like neat cars.
daytona was a good looking car back in the day, even the probe wasn't to bad.
i'm searching for a 1990 honda prelude, with no rust. just cause
That Daytona looks slow![]()
First FWD in Alberta to run an 11 way back in 2003-ish. It made 380-ish to the wheels at that time, slightly different setup then the engine shot in that pic. We went from 2.5 to 2.2 as we felt the long stroke and shorter rods was causing to much side load when we cracked a cylinder. Bigger turbo, we fabricated new manifolds and changed some other stuff and made just under 500 to the wheels the following year but we never managed a clean pass with that setup as we chased a 10. Keep in mind the engine in that car was originally an 8 valve, non cross flow head and made 175hp. We figured out how to adapt a 16 valve DOHC from a 2.0L Dodge Neon on to the old turbo dodge block. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure we were the first to do this in the Turbo Dodge community. I did enjoy having lots of spare time and full access to an engine machine shop, chassis dyno, machining tools and a TIG welder. With that being said, I like driving fast stuff that doesn’t break all the time a lot more! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Finally parted with the car and most of the parts in the past year but I still have the engine in pieces kicking around.
