Parks needs to deal with the BS that is Lake Louise traffic blocking traffic for ~4 km in both lanes cause Karen has to skip to the front of the line. Love adding time to get to 93N cause of the hundred bozos who want to go stand in line for another few hours

Has anyone gotten the Louise Reserve system to work?
    https://reservations.skilouise.com/

I punch in my card number. It recognizes that its a mountain collative but nothing else loads. no ability to select dates?

    EDIT:

Yeah, I just plugged a pile of days in. Nearing the busiest days of the season, so hopefully crowds are mitigated some. I'm a Big3 holder. I'll be in a mix of the 3.

Louise sold out for tomorrow already. I’m curious what their capacity is.

Yea i got it working. You gotta click on the green "Wide Open" text on the calendar. If you click "Reserve A Date" nothing happens.

Interesting there is no limit on reservations for the next rolling two weeks so you can just fill in all the days.

"We are monitoring no-shows daily and will be reaching out to guests who do not honour their reservations. We expect that everyone will be courteous and cancel days they cannot use with plenty of notice so that someone else can get a spot on the mountain."
    Because that'll never get abused.

Sunshine was not bad today, lots of wind blow filling in the weekends tracks. Now that I’m 30 I’m feeling pretty out of shape though

How were the crowds? I checked the webcam this morning and the parking lot was pretty full. I was hoping to go up mid-week this week or next, but not if I have to fight the crowds and wait.

My buddies are leaving at 6 am tomorrow. Louise is sold out and with sunshine limiting parking it’s going to be madness.

Show up at 7:45-8 and only 10-15 mins for the gondola. Show up at 8:30-9 like a buddy did and you’ll barely make it into the parking lot cut off and have a two hour gondola wait.

Yep. 1.5 hours when we got there at 9 on Sunday. With the dump they just got it's still worth the wait though, fuck do I ever need to move to Calgary.

in a regular year, showing up at 9AM makes it so painful that it's hardly worth it. This year, yeah get there before 8AM or don't even bother.

I think it depends on your own fitness level and the type of riding you're doing. I went with a buddy, and despite only getting up there at 1030 he was completely done by 3. Shredding at high speed and then transitioning to knee deep fresh all day in the tree sections will do that to a lot of people. I was dead by 3:45, office legs aren't what they used to be.

This! I used to be able to do 2 days in a row but now if we get out with just the main crew we go hard for from about 10-2 and then head to banff for lunch. If were out with fam and newbs then its an all day ride because were constantly stopping on the runs waiting lol

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

Parks should make Lake Louise deal with the congestion and/or figure out a better way to get people the fuck out of the way. They get a cushy lease, they should be more responsible for the downstream effects of it.. It's not like we're talking about a major shipping route or anything... oh wait.

Jeez! Due to the highway or was the parking/que to get onto the lifts at LL been that bad?

Debating to go tomorrow we'll see how this reservation system works out.

Haha, your note sound sisterly to ol Karen.
You mean like applying a visits cap, and turning people away at the entrance? Or introducing reservations, before your post was written, to be applied the very next day?

Newsflash, everyone’s a winter, b/c, enthusiast now. We’re in the midst of the 10 busiest days of the season, with the busiest yet to come.
