Default Can't find and disable apps that are auto-starting

So at first I thought it might just be Kodi but now I have a second app I want to disable on auto-start.

I've checked the following places and I cannot figure out where else it might be. This is a W10 machine FYI:

    - Shell:Startup
    - Start Menu - Start up folder
    - Settings - startup
    - Using CCleaner (a 3rd party app) in the section that checks and tells what is set to auto-start.
    - I've checked the config files for both apps and neither have or are set to start on boot.

Only thing left I can think of is group policies but I can't find anything out of place either.

You will need to check the entries in the registry.

do a search for STARTUP in the search/cortana bar and deselect everything you want - alternate you can still use task manager which will now show you startup items as well

It doesn't show up in the startup in search.

I believe that is what CCleaner is looking at. I'll have to check if it is not manually. Not sure why I hadn't thought of it.....

    Search and type in "Services"

Right click on the service that you think might be related to the process and click properties

    Change the "startup" value

This thing is awesome. Found it almost instantly under the Task Scheduler setting.

At first I was going to be snarky and tell you I was, then I realized that update hasn't been running in quite a while. Erroring out. Who knew. LOL

    Thanks

Yeah I had no idea, all 3 of my machines (HTPC, desktop, and laptop) were all in the 1809's / 17763.592 from June 2019. All authentic, one was a W8.1 to W10 free upgrade back in the day. But doesn't explain the other two.
