I haven't been following much on GME aside from my kids telling me about it from Tik Tok, is there an actual short squeeze happening? People are still unloading stock as needed from what I can tell even tho everyone says they're holding. Seems like GME is really just driven by demand and lots of retail going all in and buying at whatever prices.

The VW one was an actual short squeeze, where Porsche announced that they actually held something like 70% of all VW shares already and committed to not selling, so there was nothing available to buy to cover shorts that needed to be covered.
