i have a lg fridge the water is coming out slow since yesterday. i have replaces the water filter and purged the lines. pulled the fridge out and no kink in the water line to the fridge as it is a copper wire. I have googled it and it says it is the water valves in the back or the main board. The water comes out just not as it used to. any tips i can do myself or do i have to call a fridge repair guy. Does any one know a good honest repair guy to fix a water line issues for fridge. thank you

Defrost the fridge and freezer. The line is partially frozen. Very common.

While you are at it, pull the fridge out and clean under and around it, particularly the coils.

So, your fridge and freezer do "automatically defrost" enough to stop significant ice buildup in the place you put your ice cream. However, on basically every fridge with a water/ice dispenser, that line can freeze up.

So, to fix this, empty out the entire fridge and the entire freezer, unplug it, and leave the doors open for 3+ hours. It's a pain in the ass, but you may need to do this every few years.

    I agree with this strategy.

While I'm at it, I like to pull the fridge into the backyard to give it a good pressure wash. Get the dust and gunk out of the thermocouple freezometer, especially on a cold day like today when you can put your freezer foods outside.

Owing a house (instead of renting) means you have to do regular maintenance thats outside the common owners manual info - like ES said, defrost for several hours - pull the unit out of the wall and vacuum behind and inside the coil area.

Its a common place for dust to accumulate (fan) and will degrade the overall function of the fridge.

Nice day for it as well as you can take many things out of the freezer and some out of the fridge, put them in a box and stick outside without worry about defrosting anything.

I only have a 25 ft hose. I guess one could bucket wash inside.

I took all the food out the fridge and freezer for like 4 hours. Vacume the floor and all the coils. Cleaned the fridge. The water comes out but for a cup of water I am standing there for like 10 second And yesterday it would take like 4 second. Not a big deal but I want it like it was before

And you left the doors wide open for the 4 hours? If you did that, then yeah, maybe time for a repair guy.

https://www.totemappliance.com/ has previously been recommended. I'm guessing this is something crazy simple, but aside from the freezing issue, I don't know where to start.

Silly question, was the fridge turned off while the food was out??
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."
