I can't for the life of me remember the name of the club that was in the basement of a nice restaurant on McLeod trail. The restaurant you could trade old locks for meals/credits, had really high backed old style chairs...anyone remember what I'm talking about?

Speedog, I remember Dooie Stevens as well, it had a strip club next door as well IIRC. Must be close to 30 years ago now when I was last there.

Anyone remember The Keg on electric ave? Great times there, they would open up the windows there that faced right onto Electric Ave, you were about 1.5 stories up, and you could really get a great view of the end of the Ave while eating your Teriyaki Sirloin. Friends of mine from BC came right when University started, and they swore that Keg was the best place on earth on a Friday night when we went there, with all the girls just starting school out on the ave.

Ah Chris, yeah, the gate brings in some good shows. A nice venue, and a more relaxed atmosphere then Mac Hall ever was somehow.

Hah, you're officially in the old man club if you ever attended an event in SAIT's SAB building which is still standing on the NE corner of the campus - drink yourself silly at the SAB and then stumble a short downhill distance to the Rez (Owasina Hall) for more good times. This would've been pre-1980.

So you're sort of old but not really?

I wonder how many beyond members can put up their hands and say that they even existed before 1980. For all I know, I was probably partying with some beyond member's parents.

I never claimed to be old. I claimed to be middle aged which happens BEFORE old.

Oh yeah, loved that place, just down the road was Lil's on 1st. Great pizza, and stupidly hot wings. I remember the Senor Frogs logo, the frog looked just like the owner. I used to have a collection of matches from all these places, wish I'd kept it.
