BoC has said rates aren't going anywhere in the next couple years.

And even if the economy recovers and they do go up, they will go up slowly, and a quarter of a percentage at a time. It's very low risk to take variable right now.

Be careful with variable rates right now..

Interest rates are at basically zero, they won't be going negative IMO..

BUT they will have to go up, this might be in 6 months or 3 years but it will go up.

Great time to lock in a Fixed Rate.
So the people who are deciding on fixed rates haven't factored this in?

Any leads for Apple watches on sale?

Best Buy has some cheap refurb, but I don’t know if they’ll be cheaper yet Boxing Day.

I don't think that's new. Canada Post is the worst shipping company in Canada. It's especially poor for anything coming in from another country, but it's bad for nearly everything.

I ended up picking up 2x 24" curved Samsung monitors on Memory Express' Cyber Monday Sale. It must have been a Samsung deal because everyone had the same price for them but ME said they would be delivered by December 4th which was about a week faster than anywhere else. Surprise surprise they don't show up the 4th and just as I am about to call them today my phone rings to tell me they are sending me open box monitors instead of new ones. I guess they have been tested by Samsung and they are offering the same warranty as a new monitor and Memory Express is offering the same return policy as a new monitor so. I also got an additional 5% off, which in hindsight maybe I should have pushed for more. Not a huge deal as I typically don't have a problem buying open box or refurb but the shipping was a piss off.

Either way, I guess I'll eventually get the monitors, its just annoying as fuck.
I bought (what I assume is the same) one of these from London Drugs online last Wed. Showed up on Sunday afternoon... even shipped via Canada Post.

Canada Post is absolutely terrible at the best of times, I can't even imagine how much of a disaster it is during Christmas season. Just yesterday they marked a package delivered that didn't actually arrive at our house until 4 hours later, prompting a giant hassle opening a refund case with the sending company that wasn't necessary

Everything I've had delivered by Amazon's couriers and their partners has been on time (so far).

Sage Hills Walmart is dumping these 55" Samsung for $350.

Stock is down is 10 units like within the last 5 mins. So this may go very fast.

My problem with Amazon couriers is that they don't ring the damn doorbell.

I get an amazon delivery nearly every day, with normal purchases and now Christmas stuff and covid quarantine. They've always rung the door here.
