I say stupid shit all the time.
Yea I did a lot of research and testing before I got my 2000$ chair (but I bought the same model slightly used for 700$).
For me the number of kneading rollers is key - I dont care about airbags squeezing my butt - as sexy as it sounds - I want rollers up and down my ass (which I dont have right now).
So if I am going to upgrade to a 5-10k chair (new price) it better have this - but sadly most dont. Heating and music is not worth the $$$.
Also, I tested a couple of chairs (Panasonic) and found they did not hit my back nearly hard enough as my chinese knockoff chair.
Also, after 5 years of 4-5 hours use a week - the leather finally went and I removed the back and took it to an upholsterer to recover. While the mechanicals were exposed I took a look at the internals and it is built pretty solid for a knock off chair.

Trust me, I get hot after 15 min of rubbing..... LOL
Also the chair is in an enclosed room with 2 60+" TVs and a gaming PC - its warm in there.
When I was doing my research I found that the cheaper chairs had less "rollers", thus you got a stronger massage (mostly based on body weight). A lot of the more expensive Japanese ones had so many rollers/squeeze/surfaces that the massage was noticeably weaker. I guess some people are into that tentacle squeeze kind of stuff...

Not quite the 3k+ criteria but I just preordered this badboy. cost around 1k CAD. A bit steep but it is one of a kind today and it actually offers a decent back/neck massage. Has built in bluetooth speakers too!
I spend more time on my gaming chair than in the car or in bed sometimes. So I think it make sense to spend more on the daily chair than a full on massage chair.

Yo Kanye, ima let you finish, but 50 Cent had the best concert cancellation of all time.
I got a lapboard and a mechanical backlit gaming keyboard so that I can sit in the massage chair and game. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The lapboard itself was about 200$, the keyboard 200$, the chair (used) 700$.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I think Costco might be the way to go, the extra warranty is nice piece of mind. Might have to go sit in some chairs around town first to see what features are worth it or not.

Because I heard Giantex chairs had a giant class action lawsuit due to a failure to recall significant safety issues that led to the spread of the CoVid-19 Delta variant across India.

#1 Rule for me is to spend extra based on how much time you interact with it.
If your bed is not $3K, then it is not worth it to spend on Shiatsu chair. Unless of course govt work, where you sit in said chair all day.
