What happens when I’m offline? I assume my ships are safe but can players head out to claims I’ve staked and destroy my shit if I’m not there to defend it? I assume they’d get crime stat for doing so? Are there cool markets and shit to walk around in if I want to buy clandestine weapons or whatever? I hear thirst and hunger and sleep are things too that you need to give your character?
At this moment there isn't really anything that belongs to anyone. Your ships when you log off go into a "hangar" and are safe. If your ship is at a space port or on a planet surface and you leave a door open they can go into your ship and steal it if they want to. There are 3 major Cities in the game all very different from one another provide similar but different things from each other. New Babbage allows you to fly around the city where the others do not and they get angry with you.

Sleep isn't a thing but thirst, hunger, freezing, boiling are all things that can affect you. Different armor can provide relief to this so that you can be on a hot planet for awhile with out worry.

I'm not sure what your system is but I'm running an old X79 system with 16gb DDR3 and a GTX 1070 card and play in 2k resolution without issue. I suggest the free fly on now till the 2nd to get your feet wet.

$80 for a 40-45hr game... eh Its going to need a lot of good reviews to sell me.
It apparently has very good reviews (most recent ones) and multiple endings depending on what you choose so I think it'll be worth the money; and the graphics...

Not to derail the thread, but that one for sure is a good game to get for tomorrow's release.

Anyone get Cyberpunk for PC? Hearing it's a lot more stable on PC. Judging by the disaster that is last gen consoles... they shouldn't have even went that route and stuck with next gen.

I'd wait a month or two for more patches tbh. Even people with good computers are having lots of random crashes and stability issues.

Runs amazing on my 3090, but I could totally see how if you have a console or lower end PC you'd have a bad time.

I'd recommend getting it on PC even in the state it's in now if you have a 2080Ti or better, have been having a blast playing it, however if you have a lower end GPU and CPU I'd recommend waiting until it's patched better.

I'm 35 hours in, I've only had 2 bugs and neither were game breaking they just needed a save and reload to clear up a camera viewpoint bug on a bike, and I got stuck in scanning mode once as well. Its not perfect, but its been fun. My biggest gripe is the lack of choices at some points. I wish there a little more variety than no, thank you and no, get f*cked. But im sure any more branches to the story and it would be a 2022 title.

Yeah, I've been doing some research on it. I have a OC'ed 2080TI and OC'ed 9900K. This was one of two titles (MSFS and Cyberpunk) that I have been looking forward to this year and spent some money on a decent computer.

I have read about the bugs and they seem manageable. (If I can manage Star Citizen bugs, then I can manage anything.)

    Fuck it, I'll buy it.

I don’t really understand how a faster system eliminates bugs?

Does it just brick or overheat weaker hardware or something?

It doesn't. It makes ZERO difference at all.

Its just the name of the game and how different environments and setups can make or break a game.

To answer my own question it has been confirmed to be also delisted for PS5. There is only one copy.

I haven't found the bugs to be too bad in my 41 hours of playing so far.

Once in a while my character pops up above the vehicle while driving for a fraction of a second, that's nothing that stops your game.
One time I fell through the map and had to load my last checkpoint, but otherwise it's been good so far.

Also the GPU utilization isn't optimized yet as it usually runs at 70%-90% GPU utilization, once they patch that issue the frame rates should get even higher, but with my current GPU even at 70% utilization I'm getting fantastic frame rates even at 4K with DLSS on and RTX off.

I do think the bugs are quite exaggerated online as people tend to report negative news rather than the positive.

This is definitely one of my favourite games aside from GTA and RDR2, I can't even begin to comprehend the amount of work it must have taken to create such a detailed and vertical game map.

Played it for about an hour. Only bug I encountered was one slide of text on the VR training tutorial was cut off, so I had to guess on which key to press.

Had to turn the film grain off. Wayyyy too much. I have raytracing set to ultra. Not bad frames tho. Anywhere between 40 to 70.

I'd recommend also turning off chromatic aberration, and turn on your image sharpening through NVIDIA control panel, makes the game look a lot better.
Another tip is to turn your ambient occlusion to the low setting, this was tested by Digital Foundry and they found it literally makes almost no difference to the appearance of the game while giving you a great FPS boost.

I also found it took me about 10 hours or more to get into the groove of things and the experience got a lot better.

Amazingly enough, Stadia seems to be the platform for many - if you have a fiber connection that is.

They had a deal a month ago where if you got Cyberpunk, they would send a code to get a free chromecast ultra and controller through the google store. Many, many people took it up.
