Mods, feel free to move to the covid subforum if needed.
So, I'd like to preface this by saying that I know this has been a tough year, and most people are doing their best with the information and knowledge that they have. I don't want to quibble about the various risk-mitigation measures that businesses and individuals choose to implement for the Covid-19 pandemic. However..... at one of my workplaces, an individual has decided that everyone should disinfect the soles of their shoes upon entering the office. Ok, weird, but whatever, I don't want to hassle someone. The part that gets me (more) confused is that they've suggested that everyone also disinfect their soles of their shoes at the end of the day before they go home. Before they take the bus, c-train etc.
Several people are choosing to do this, very enthusiastically spraying lysol all over the entryway.
What in the fuck, I ask, could that possibly help?
