CPS have check-stops all the time - they can ask ANYTHING they want (where are you going, is this your family, etc.) but you definitely have to answer certain questions (like ID and DOB) as a driver. The rest, I am not familiar with.

When he asks if you mind if he looks around the car a little bit just tell him that that your glove compartment is locked and so is the trunk in the back and that you know your rights so he'll need a warrant for that. He will likely give you lip and accuse you of being sharp as a tack, or of being lawyer or something, somebody important or something. At this point you don't need to tell him anything just that you haven't passed the bar but you know a little bit, enough that he won't illegally search your shit.
