I hope all of you are being facetious, because this isn't real, it isn't happening.

Rumor on the street is AHS went into Cactus Club downtown the other day and was handing out $1000 fines like Oprah.

Ahh yes, the overuse of force solely to intimidate people who try to protect their limited rights.
Sounds like you have 99 problems, missing a joke is one

The likely hood of the dog showing up for a routine traffic stop is almost zero - unless they happen to be very close. If the plates came back to someone associated with drugs etc, then its a bigger possibility.

Almost worth it just to meet the dogs!

I find the CPS K9’s infinitely cool.

So I gotta ask, why do people spread this as something that happened to them? To get some likes and shares and notoriety on FB for 2 days? Or just cause they're bored AF?
Probably yeah. Some people crave attention and validation, even in their lowest possible forms such as a "like" or a "share". Most online platforms seem to exist for that purpose and thrive on it. For example Facebook/Instagram serves no larger purpose than a platform for people to humble-brag and farm likes or sympathy. Places like "ask reddit" are full of either made up or plagiarized content from people trying to farm Karma/gold. Same reason someone might publicly announce they were making a donation or something - they just want positive attention. That would be my guess anyway. Maybe they did it because they were bored but stuff like this is usually for attention IMO. Some people make money off stuff like that but I think the people that do are in a pretty small minority (like an IG influencer).

My cousin is a K-9 cop. He brings his rig around the house once in a while and the kids love it.

Just tell the cop that your taxes pay his salary so technically he works for YOU! They usually back off after that...

hahaha, I would take it all the way. Go to court and say "I just want everyone that is part of the legal system here today to know that....... my taxes pay your salaries!!!"

I was in Banff over the weekend and had my table approached by officers on two occasions asking if everyone was from the same household. We politely let him know that the 6 adults at the table did of course all live together, and both times they simply said thank you and remember to stay safe. If we would have admitted to all living in separate houses i do not think they would have fined us and rather just told us to get our own tables, but who knows i guess.

They are in the right track if they start going to restaurants and doing checks as if it was like a transit cop checking for passes on a non free-fare zone. Fine 2000 people over the holidays, get a cool $2 mill out of it? Win-win.

many restaraunts have already pushed back on that policy, stating they're not police, they arent gonna be carding people, and some even opted to just shut their doors so they dont have to deal with it.

i am kind of curious to know what constitutes a social gathering... i personally am fine with just staying home, but i could see a group of guys gathering in a buddy's garage for beers and tinkering on cars or some other project and trying to loophole that it's not a social gathering, they're working together...

Bylaw and AHS enforcement could basically be paying for this pandemic if they were issuing tickets. I'm in favor of voluntary taxation of this type.

So when you post all your second hand info are you doing so for attention, validation or because you're bored?

When he asks if you mind if he looks around the car a little bit just tell him that that your glove compartment is locked and so is the trunk in the back and that you know your rights so he'll need a warrant for that. He will likely give you lip and accuse you of being sharp as a tack, or of being lawyer or something, somebody important or something. At this point you don't need to tell him anything just that you haven't passed the bar but you know a little bit, enough that he won't illegally search your shit.
I got into a phase where i was watching those YT videos of guys in the states invoking their rights and its wild what they do and the cops cant do shit.
