My guess for tomorrow: June 1st restaurants and gyms can open again with reduced capacity restrictions. June 15th we can have small social gatherings again and July 1st larger events like stampede can happen with distancing and masks

Where was that big "surge" in vaccine delivery? I don't see it. Wasn't that supposed to be over the last couple of weeks, or was I confused and it's the next couple of weeks? I thought for sure it was before June.

Last week got our 4.5 mil shots in Canada… it is the two smaller steps at the end of the chart…
Although this week we are only getting 600k … and then 2.4 mil Pfizer a week
Guess there's either a big delay getting them from "Canada" to Alberta, or the bulk of those went to other provinces. Seems "arrivals" in Alberta are pretty stable. All those steps seem to be similar size to what we've been getting for the last month.
Still WAAAAYYY ahead of where I was guessing we'd be.

And yet still so far behind.
Yeah. Where's that national post vaccination scorecard?

Looks like it's gonna be a slow week.
We are pretty good with 52% with 1 dose. Behind US in 2 doses but US has practically stalled at under 50% for 1 dose.

it looks like Israel has stalled in the low 60% as well.
the one state where they are giving away $1mil for people to get vaccines is up 28% since they started the contest ... lol
and there is one hardcore trump county in like Georgia that is only 20% ...
The Twitter says we should get some information on next steps this week ( god I hate that I have to look there to get information…).
Anyone hear a timeline? Do we expect updates today?

I honestly think they're just going to start giving information on "outbreaks" to keep restrictions in as long as possibleThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Outbreak at a house in the NE with 3 generations living there? Restaurants closed until August.
It is pretty brutal that Twitter seems to be the most legitimate news source on this shit.

Sort of. There's a Pfizer bump and a Moderna bump. Alberta hasn't reported the second Pfizer shipment, I'd guess it's today. Alberta always seems to report it 3 days after all the other provinces. That's why the covidtracker site shows our %used way higher than other provinces. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I definitely see a small amount of value, as a drastically dropping case count indicates a future drop in ICU and hospitalizations, which are the metrics that actually matter to whether we can open up or not. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But the case count by itself is way too finicky for it to be a main focus.
The Brazil variant didn't scare enough people into complying...queue an outbreak of India variant in Calgary so Nenshi can talk about how Calgary is worse than India
