I'm interested to hear more about what the water cooler chatter is going to be in the next week or two, it'll certainly create division and lets face it - at the end of the day constructive dismissal is easy enough to come up with without making it about that in particular.

Most companies are too lazy to do constructive dismissal, but many have juuuust enough energy to try and get people to quit themselves. That's a real win if they want to do layoffs but don't want to pay severance.

If this correspondence came from a lawyer on company letterhead, or in an official company email, then that's very surprising. The lawyers I've worked with are insanely careful in their official written communication, although sometimes I can convince them to relax a little . . .

I think they are looking for issues as prego and a few other legit medical condition are not approved to take the jab. I am not sure what their lawyers have to cover their ass (the aforementioned "accommodations") if one of those employees is looking to quit anyway and looks for a huge payday on their way out.

TLDR: The trials were all done at different times during different waves and in different countries so it's not a valid comparison. All 4 that have been approved are great at preventing severe disease/hospitalization/death so take whatever you are offered.

Ill take a pfizer or moderna but not az. Not anything to do with efficacy, just with vaccine type. After doing my research I am comfortable taking the mrna vaccine but do not want a viral vector chimpanzee adenovirus. If I was in my 70s I would, but im not, so I don't.

In a study “First Month of Covid-19 Vaccine Safety Monitoring,” 79% of adverse reactions linked to the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines were reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System from Women.

The study run through Dec. 14, 2020, through Jan. 13, 2021, monitored over 13.7 million doses of the vaccines administered across the US.

“…VAERS received and processed 6,994 reports of adverse events after vaccination, including 6,354 (90.8%) that were classified as non-serious and 640 (9.2%) as serious,” the study notes.


While most side effects were mild, including fatigue, headaches and dizziness, the CDC study notes, “A total of 113 deaths were reported to VAERS, including 78 (65%) among [Long Term Care Facility] residents.”
